Whitewater Rafting

This past Saturday we took our second annual whitewater rafting trip. We owe a big thank you to Sue and Steven of Adventurous Fast Rivers Rafting for providing us with this experience again this year. A group of 18 residents, satff, and alumni were able to make the trip! The Nantahala River typically runs between 45 and 49 degrees, some of us fell in, all of us got wet. It rained pretty hard and the warm rain mixed with the cold water to make a thick fog over the river. It seemed much more intense than it really was, probably due to the fact that we could not see where we were going. Most of the people that “fell” in, were actually pushed in by their NSR brothers. We all had a great time!!

What a good looking group!  Each one of these guys has a very different story, but they all share a common bond, working together to better their lives.

Thank you again Steve and Sue, we love the Nantahala and Adventurous Fast Rivers Rafting. We highly recommend everyone take a trip with these guys.
