Research has shown that in early addictions recovery, long-term
success is greatly enhanced through participation in structured
transitional living programs like Next Step Recovery.
Traditional treatment programs range
from 14 to 30 days. Most addicts have been using alcohol
or other substances to cope with emotional needs for much
longer—years and even decades. Thirty days of treatment is
only the beginning of a lifelong recovery process.
Recovering addicts who leave treatment
and return to the same environmental and social triggers
are at far greater risk of relapse than those who spend 3
to 12 months in a structured transitional living program.
