Asheville Rehab: The Recovery Community in Asheville, North Carolina
The environment is a crucial part of recovery.
Asheville has everything men in early recovery need—and then some. The Asheville area is a place of incredible scenery, and its people also welcome others with open arms.
At NSR of Asheville, we strive to help the men in our program rebuild their self-worth. It’s never easy, but an accepting, caring community increases the chances of success. That’s why our small Appalachian city has played a part in the recovery stories of so many.
As we say:
“Recovery is the Real Adventure.”
Asheville provides the perfect setting to rediscover the hero in you.
Finding "Home" in Recovery
Addiction tends to fracture relationships and destroys homes.
It’s no surprise that intense loneliness often accompanies early recovery.
Surrounding yourself with positive people who want to see you succeed is one of the best ways to fight that. You’ll find them in abundance here—within our drug rehab program. This is the kind of place filled with the type of people who will cheer for you.
Make lifelong connections in Asheville rehab, as many of our graduates do.

HOSPITABLE. Affordable. Fun.
A Beautiful Community with Beautiful Views

Finding True Support in Community
At the treatment center, we work hard to be one of Asheville’s best substance abuse treatment centers.
Yet we know we are lucky to be surrounded by a solid recovery-conscious community. Long-term recovery requires a continuum of care. We let others focus on detox while we work to make sobriety sustainable.
Residents of Asheville benefit from various addiction support services and group therapy. There are also multiple opportunities for men looking to continue their education while progressing through recovery.
Our recovery programs are designed to help remind men in early recovery that life is worth living.
We couldn’t have asked for a better location to do so. Unrivaled hikes. Jaw-dropping views. Rivers, lakes, and waterfalls. A growing music scene. Foodie paradise. Hospitality like nowhere else.
Some might say living in Asheville is therapy within itself. Still, we use modern clinical methodologies like the 12 steps, CBT, DBT, Adventure Therapy, Yoga, Meditation, and Martial Arts to help men reclaim their lives at our Asheville recovery center.
Dear Next Step,
I am a neighbor of one of your Asheville houses. I just wanted to say that while I keep my distance as I know the residents need privacy, I pray for the guys and their healing and recovery and hope each of them knows that they are people of worth and essential members of our community. I am unsure if folks in recovery feel the larger community supports them, but many out there are rooting for them from behind a quiet wave of “hello.”
Keep up the excellent work, Next Step!”
